Why I unpublished my first book

It’s time to write my first blog post for my new and updated author website! And what am I going to write about? Well, I’m going to tell you why I don’t have any books for you to read!

What a way to start!

I did actually write and self publish my first novel back in 2012, but I’ve since unpublished it. Why? Basically, I don’t think it’s at all reflective of the kind of books I want to put out in the future.

So young.

So Optimistic.

Such a boring cover.

I wrote Leader of the Tribe as a coming of age, historical fiction novel. What I want to write in the future are sci-fi and fantasy books. The two just don’t jive well together. Out with the old to make room for the new!

Despite Leader of the Tribe no longer being available, I am still proud to have completed that book. The truth is there are FAR more people who want to write a book and never complete it than there who do. I’m quite happy to be in that second camp.

I’ve learned a lot since and I’m happy to be applying it all to my second debut novel. :)
